Open Water Diver

The PADI Open Water Course is the best entry level course to the amazing world of Scuba Diving. It takes only 4-5 days to complete and become an internationally qualified to diver, certified to dive to a max depth of 18 m.


At Sub-Tropic Adventures we pride ourselves on delivering quality to our customers, and the flexibility to learn at your own pace. We limit the number of pupils per teaching session, keeping a low ratio of students per instructor enabling more attention to the individual.


To enrol in a PADI Open Water Diver course (or Junior Open Water Diver course), you must be 10 years old or older. You need adequate swimming skills and need to be in good physical health. No prior experience with scuba diving is required.  All course prices are inclusive of equipment hire, materials, training and certification.


The PADI Open Water Diver course is the world’s most popular and widely recognised scuba course. Sub-Tropic Adventures have taught many people to scuba dive who have gone on to discover the wonders of the aquatic world through this course.

Course time: 4-5 Days
Content: Classroom sessions, confined and open water dives.
Maximum depth allowed: 18 metres on completion.
Prerequisites: +10 years old, comfortable swimmer, good health, no previous Scuba experience necessary.
